Birthed in 2004 out of a desire to see people from the local church assist the community in a social justice context – COACH was designed to equip people to draw alongside and support struggling families.
COACH provides frameworks that enable this to happen in a manner that keeps mentors safe by working within clearly articulated boundaries and ensures that client families are safe with mentors.
The C.O.A.C.H program support principles are:
- An Ethos of Empowerment
- A Goal Focused Approach
- Utilising a Strength based approach
- Utilising a Client centred approach when supporting people through life challenges
- Working within an Ethical Framework
