What is C.O.A.C.H?

C.O.A.C.H (Creating Opportunity & Casting Hope) is a community strengthening program, where trained mentors draw alongside individuals and families who are experiencing challenges, and encourage them in their daily lives.

Who is COACH for?

COACH is available to families with one or more children under the age of 12, who live in the Yarra Ranges Shire.

What’s COACH’s aim?

The aim of COACH is to empower people to break cycles of disadvantage in their life, assisting them to make positive decisions for their future.

How does COACH work?

Families and the volunteer mentors are carefully matched through an interview process.

Mentors are thoroughly screened, police checked and trained.

Together the mentor and families set life goals, which they work towards achieving.

Time Frame

Families are supported weekly 1-2 hours, for an initial 12-month period.

This can be extended by mutual agreement.

Is there a Cost?

NO!

COACH is a free mentoring program to individuals or families who meet the criteria.

Privacy

COACH has a privacy policy that will be discussed with families when entering the program.
